How long is it taking?

I applied for my Canadian residency in march of last year. My file was transfered to the New York city office for an interview Jan 2002.

How long is it taking right now to get an interview call? How long does it take after that to receive the Landing Documents?

I was told last year that it takes about 8 months ro receive your residency and its long past that.

I think, if you have submitted your and your dependets Landing fee and medical papers, then you will be given same time. Otherwise, it will be delayed, until you submit Landing fees and medical.

Medical papers reaches to Canada first from doctor and then to Immigration officer, who is in-charge of your application. It takestotal 2 months. You may do medical exam once you have interview invitation letter. Because, you will have 3 months for interview, after getting that letter. Late medical will give you more time to enter in Canada, after getting papers.
