Hi All,
My indian passport has been renewed recently and have to apply for I 94 extension. I stay at San Diego and heard that I can cross the border go to mexico and get I 94 extension instead of applying to USCIS. I am on H4 and have stamped visa on my old indian passport. Is it safe to go alone to mexico as my husband can't come with me due to his visa issues. Do I have to stay out of country or I can just go out of USA and come back immediately to get extension. My current I 94 is valid till October 2016. The immigration officer didn't give me I94 paper copy just told me that he can't give me I94 for 3 years as my passport is getting expired.I have to apply new I 94 after passport renewal. Also, please let me know anyone planning to go to mexico in near future as I don't want to go alone to mexico.
