*Help!!* Question about IELTS

Hi, I found this site recently and have a question about immigration.

The IELTS tests, who has to do these tests? Its says they are for people who dont come from a country that speaks 'native- english'.
I am from the United Kingdom, and I'm wondering because I speak English as my first language do I need to sit these tests??

Yes !!

Everyone who was asked by CIC need to take the exam and send the result to CIC to asses the points you aquire to migrate under the catagory you applied for.

Howdy Curt! I am from Trinidad in the Caribbean and when i went down to the embassy personally to determine whether or not I needed to do the IELTS, the personnel there asked me one question. They asked whether i had gotten my education in Trinidad or another English speaking country. I told them that i studied in both Trinidad and the USA and they then said that I do not need to do the IELTS. The employees at the Actually all the other people here that i have spoken to, even those who speak poor English, notts one of them were required to do the IELTS. Hence the answer to your questionis simply, NO!
