  • travel document question

I am a landed immigrant of Canada, currently in the US. I was asked to come back to canada to retake photo on PR as there was some problem with earlier photo. I will be driving in rental car from buffalo to toronto and planning to take with me just the COPR and passport but not applied for any Travel document.
So is it okay or I should carry travel document?

    Thanks,
    k

If you're a permanent resident of Canada (meaning you have gone through immigration and have your PR card) you can travel back and forth to the US and Canada anytime.

PR card proves you are a perm resident. In the near future you may have to have a passport for both countries to come and go, as the rules are changing in that regard. I believe this will be required by the end of this year or next year depending on how you travel.
