  • I need assistance

Thanks to all who will be helping with my situation first and for most.

I'm currently 20 years old and have been living in Canada for approximately 12 years. The only other member of my family I have here is my mother.
I'd like to bring my cousin who is from Venezuela to Canada but it seems to be impossible. She is 24 years old, and would like to study here and make her life in Canada. When she attempted to get a Visa in Venezuela, they denied her and she was crushed.

My mom has tried to become a sponsor, but unfortunately with the salary she gets she wouldn't be able to support financially my cousin. Of course I'd be helping out, and she really isn't a baby and can live her life (work, go to school, etc) but she'd be living under our roof.

I'm trying to go about this in different ways, I mean I see so many families here (cousins, sisters, in-laws) and I always wonder HOW they got into this country.

Do you guys have any suggestions, advice, or comments on how I can go about this other than my mother sponsoring?

    Thanks

Mshell is there a possibility that your cousin will be able to immigrate using the skilled worker category. Since she is so young and she has her aunt in Canada this will be a great bonus to her. Ther are quite a few new categories that have opened up so maybe she can also look into this. Good luck to yall and best wishes.
