Never recive the Reciept almost a yr.

I'm applying for a skilled worker in canada. A yr after we applied my.wife deliver a healthy baby, now I again apply for my baby, but since then we never got any receipt from the embassy to confirm that the payment was recieve, although the check was been deducted to my accnt? should I write the embassy inquiring about it? But it was stated in there web site that they will not entertain inquiries about the status of the apllcation.
