  • Waiving of bar for ex US illegal aliens for Canadian Immigrants?

    Hi,

I have heard that Canadian immigrants who were ex illegal aliens of US will get their 10 year bar waived? Is it true? Can anyone help me with that news? Thank You!

Are you an ex illiegal alien?

If so then I dont think you should be taking advantage of Canada's legal system to justify you getting back into the US, or indeed staying in Canada for that matter!

I dont think its likely anyway, as Canada and America are two different countries, and their laws, when it comes to immigration, are very different.

Thanks but not thanks for your crap

      Hi Mr. Curt,

Thanks for your not so helpful advice. First of all it was a general question, and secondly if you can't help someone, don't post, AND finally who the hell are you to tell someone what they should or shouldn't take advantage of. Get a life buddy!

        1. Your general question was answered with a 'I dont think its likely'.

        2. If I cant help someone, I dont post, but I help alot of people on this forum. And those people come on here to ask one question and when its answered they never come back. Thats not how a forum is supposed to work, but I still do it.

        3. Who am I?, when it comes to immigration I am someone who is totally passionate about a country that 'some' people take advantage of, and who are not intentional of staying in that country at all. In fact, they use it as a stop over, and think its easier to get to America from that country. In my view if you want to get to America, apply through thier immigration system, dont move to Canada because its next door to America thinking 'I will get across the border far easier this way'.
And as for illegal aliens, i didnt call you one, so chill out 'buddy', but if an illegal alien is caught in a country, yes they are bared from that country for a long time. And they dont deserve to get back into that country until thier full bar term is up, whatever it may be! Infact I think they should be blacklisted and not ever allowed back, but thats just my opinion.

          Lets get along

ZahidIslam I heard that Canada w a ssupposed to be atking in soem of the illegal aliens form the US, but this wa s a long time ago, 6 months and to date I have not heard anythign farther on the subject. As to your question I have not seen any advances to relieving the 3 and 10 year bars imposed upon people who have lived within the US , illegally for 6 months and over 1 year respectively. Fact is that many people leave the US after trying for years to get their legit status, its simply wasting time.
I absolutely agree with Curt when he says that people should not immigrate to canada in an attempt to get back to the US or simply to enable them to get into the US in an easy fashion. This really messes things up for people like myself who truly desire to get to canada and make a life within a decent environment.
I do not agree with Curt's view that illegals caught in a country should not be able to reenter that country, in my opinion, because so many people are trying to make a better living for themselves and people would certainly go through the legal channels but there are so many limitations to legitimate immigration. For example one must be a super intellignet person, or one must have a direct relative to act as a sponsor, or one must have millions of dollars or even one must be a refugee or political asylum applicant. This closes the door for people like myself who just want to have a life with a beautiful wife and kids, a nice job and so on. life is simply too short to live in pain in third world nations like the country within which I live and more so than not, people are good natured and not criminally inclined.
Anyway i did not wnat to ramble on and on but please do not take the response Curt gave to you as a personal attack. Curt has always been a very positive and productive member of this forum and he has excellent ideas.
