HI and thank you to the site owner for this site...I have learned alot, but, still have questions...
I am a single mom(39) of three have been divorced for 7 years.
My fiance (also 39) has one child who is not coming to states if he moves here...
Here is my question:
We both agree it would be better for him to move here BUT, he has an "impaired" conviction 4 yrs ago (DWI In states?)
Will this prevent him from being approved?
Everything I read says criminal records are a prob so what do they consider charges that would prevent one from being approved
Also, i am finding diff things on diff sites as far as him coming from Canada for a visit
WOuld it just be better to apply for the finace visit instead of trying for a visitor one first
And does he even need one to come in at land crossing?
When one does not need a visitor visa and they come in at a land crossing is there a max time limit on when they have to leave?
I have read so much I think I am getting everything mixed up!
I have been there and he has yet to come here as we don't know what if any problems he will encounter
Thanks!
