Temporary Resident Visa

Hi yall
I am new to this Forum...saw couple of threads and must say saw alot of u who r regular on this and i would really appreciate if any1 can answer this for me.
I am in Canada with my wife on a work permit since March 05 and in July 06 we sent our application for PR, I got the file # in Aug 06 and then got a letter from CIC (Buffalo)asking for IELTS (even though my wife and I are working with Fortune 500 companies), anyways I sent in the IELTS results in March 07 and now i am awaiting the CIC response.
Does any1 knw what will happen next....

1. How soon can i hear from them after i have submitted my IELTS results?
2. Will CIC ask for Police Clearance Cert next?
3. What happens once you submit the PCC...how much time does that take?
4. My work Permit is expiring in May 07, when i renew my work permit...will i have to apply for restoration of Visa if i stay back after May 07?
5. What about Temporary Resident Visa, will i have to apply for that also?

Please reply ASAP as i dont have alot of time on my hand.....
