H1 B Visa Stamping in Ottawa July 21st

Hi Guys ,

I am going for my first H1 stamping in Ottawa on July 21st. I had couple of Qs such as:- 1) I got approved of my h1 in June 2007 and changed my company in August 2007. I have the h1 papers from both the companies.....could this be an issue in the consulate?
2) WHat is I-129?
3) I will be leaving from Boston so if anyone else wants to accompany me can contact me at [email protected]
4) How long does it usually takes for the visa to be granted?
5) If anyone can share their experience from ottawa, that would be great.

1. As long as you were in valid H1b status till you changed employers, no issues.

2. It is your H1b application form submitted to USCIS.

4. Depends on the time of your appointment, PMIS database update on your case. If PMIS is updated, next day. Otherwise, 2-3 days later. Search for PMIS if you don't know what that is.

5. Plenty reported on the main page as well as on the forums. Look for them.
