  • in canada currently, question about H4 visa restamping

I am currently accompanying my husband in canada. I have a valid h4 visa however my husband has changed employer after i did my stamping in india. now that i m in canada, the legal dept is saying that i will be allowed to enter usa since the visa on my passport is not expired (even though its from previous employer).

however, i want to have a second opinion because they also recommend to get the visa stamping done alongwith my husbands h1 visa stamping in canada.

I do not want to get my stamping done in canada since i may visit india within the next month after i reach back US. So i could even get stamping done in india if its not compulsory to get it in canada.

If your visa is valid, you don't need a new visa stamp just because the H1b holder changed the company.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
