    Hi guys,
I am in India, I came here to get my H-1B stamped. My extension of stay was denied in US.Good news is my H-1B got stamped.I am working on filing for Permnanent residency of Canada.I am unable to figure out how to go about getting police clearance from India.CIC websites lists it that I can get it from Indian consulate in the country where I am residing. So should I wait and get it from US. I dont know if they do it.I have called consuate several times and left messages.Has anyone gotten it from there.
OR I should approach local police station/regional passport office. in India, since I am here for another 10 days.
What will I have to do to get it done for my wife, she was married for two years and moved to Delhi with me before we moved to US.So does she have to get police verification in Delhi only or she has to get it done in her home state (Maharashtra)>
Please share your experience and what you know.

    Thanks.

Just wait and come back to US. File it with the consulate here and they give it in 30 days. It is easy process.

But, you do not need a PCC while applying for the Canada immigration I guess. Isn't that requested later on by them and then you provide it?

Thanks, its good to know I can do it in US.Its my understanding Bufalo consulate requests Police clearance certificate to be submitted with the application. I wonder how would Canadian PR ship would affect my application process to get green card via EB-3 classification.

USCIS may issue RFE as to clarify which PR you want to have. You may have to let go of one when the time comes.
