Vistor Visa - Extension

I have applied for Vistors Visa extension, for my mother-in-law. Received Receipt Notice, I-797C, from Texas Service Centre. As per the passport, her validity of stay in US is till 27th Mar, 2001. I had requested for additonal 3 months extension. So, with this I-797C receipt notice, can she stay in US, till 27th Jun, 2001. Will INS send me, the approval of her extended stay before 27th Jun. If no, can she use I-797C to leave US, on the 27th Jun.

I read in some discussion board that B2 extension are now given for 30 days!!!
I am also looking forward for extension which I have filed.

Can extension be applied second time? Any change in the new Visitor rule which applies to this?
