Entering Mexico - Tijuana

Hi

I am going to accompany my wife to Tijuana US consulate for her visa stamping. I have nothing to do at the consulate. Can I enter and come back without any issues?

I have my visa and I-94 till 2011, my wife has visa valid till march 30 2009, and we have not taken visitor visas to enter mexico.

Is there any risk? We are going for just one day, positive of returning the same day.

Please advice.

US State Dept has been warning USCs from visiting Tijuana. Do google for recent news about a war like situation in Tijuana and decide based on your own safety.
