Marriage faling apart :( Divorce before Interview?

Hi, my husband and I applied for AOS upon marriage and we have struggled to make things work, we've been to counseling and things, but have decided we are just not compatible. What will happen if we divorce before our first interview? He is in school and no longer has a valid student visa because of applying for AOS. Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!
