Please help canadian immigration

I recently got my Canadian Migrant visa. I am working in the US and will not be able to migrate there before next year. However I wanted to know if I can go there and accept my GC. I have a residential address there already as my cousin lives there. Can I give his address as my mailing address and come back within a week. whats the exact procedure to go there and come back?

I suggest, you must visit Canada and get your PR Card. You will get it on the airport - when you enter Canada.

Actually thats not quite right, you dont automatically get given it at the airport. When you arrive in Canada and give over your Visa you will be given your permanent residence status. in order to obtain your permanent residence card you must complete the application for permanent residence card. the following link should be able to tell you everything you need to know.
