out of citizenship country application to canada

i m in uk on 2yrs visa can i apply for canada immigration from UK
my visa expires in december 2005
i have just spent 8 months in all till now in uk that too taking breaks midway as i went to india for long time

As far as I know you can apply in any country provided you have
a granted stay of at least one year in that country.

Confirm with canada website.
