Hi, my husband spent 13 years in prison when is was 14 for a federal crime. he went to prison for conspiracy to supply cocaine. He was technically a bad boy. He his now been out of prison for the past 4 years and his now a foreman at the company he works for? My question is, will he past criminal conviction have any bearings on my application when I submit for a greencard. I am now in the USA and will be heading back home. I would like for him to start the process whilst am gone, so that when I get back, the paper will be half way done. Has anyone been in this situation or has any help or advise?
