    OCI for person with criminal case in India

    A friend of mine is a US citizen and wants to apply for OCI. He has a criminal case pending against him in India. On the OCI application form, he is going to declare all details of case honestly.

    Will he be granted OCI or denied? What is the basis for getting denied?
