Hi,
My 485 is now pending more than 180 days. i've also recieved my EAD card. My question is can i invoke AC21 and change employer now. Also another reason i'm thinking twice before i take this decision is that i was told by someone that if by chance i get laid off while i'm on EAD, i will be immediately out of status and would have to leave the country. is that true? if one gets laid off while on EAD, would he/she be out of status immediately. can i not stay in US and find another employment of the similar nature as the one with which i had filled my labor/GC. Please let me know. i really need to know the answer quickly since i'm getting an offer now and i would want to be sure before i can make this decision about switching employers at this juncture. i dont want to jeopardize my GC processing and legal status here because of this.
