Hello,
I'm currently a 12-month OPT holder working at Walt Disney. The completion of my OPT is in Jan 2013. Although I want to extend my OPT with staying at Disney more, because the company is not enrolled to E-verify system, I can not get 17-month STEM extension through Disney.
What I'm planning to do is to start my own business.(It is not only for getting STEM extension also for my career goals). That's why I will form an LLC and put myself as a full-time employee there with getting all company licences and anything by means of proofs. After doing that, I will enroll my company to E-verify system in order to get my Opt extended after applied.
The question is, if I form my own LLC to become a business owner and enroll to E-verify, can I apply to STEM extension for myself with using my company?
FYI- the fields for STEM extension application is matching my MS in Engineering background. There is no problem with that.
