Question regarding job change on EAD

I am currently on H1B with company A and have EAD as well (through company A) .If I need to change job using my EAD, I heard from one of our friends, that an immigration lawyer from company B (new company), should file G-28 to USCIS stating my new job title and job duties (similar to the current one). How true is this? I am also under the impression, "what-if" company B doesnt has any immgration lawyer? Please advise.

I think you can change jobs ( in same field) on EAD if you have filed I485 and 180 days are passed. It is also recommended to apply for AC21 to inform change of employment. If company B does not have immigration lawyer, you can always hire attorney.
