Divorced can i get EAD ?
Hello,
I am a Female Permanent Resident of canada, in december 2004 i got divorced from my husband. We were in USA for 2 1/2 years from 2001 to 2003, in November we took decision of divorce and we separated.
Before that on 13th may 2003 my husband had applied for Green Card, he had applied for me too as a dependent.
After 1 year of separation during which i came to canada as i had my Permanent Resident status in Canada, i went for divorce in India. and now since 8 mths we are divorced.
I wanted to know whether, i can get the EAD or Green Card, as i came to know that his EAD is through, but he has not given me any details.
Can he remove my name from the process or can i do anything about this all issue. Just wanted to know whether he can remove my name from the GC process, or whether i can do anything about getting it.
Please reply if anyone knows anything about such a situation, any suggestions are welcome.
