I am a J1 research scholar with approved waiver married to a naturalized US citizen. I am applying for my green card and I have a question on selecting the reason for applying I765. I was previously on F1-OPT before switching to J1. My question is what reason is applicable to someone of my background; whether to choose "Renewal" or "Permission to accept employment". Your suggestions would be very helpful.
