    EAD on J-2 for a resident physician job

    I am currently on J-2. I am to start my residency training as a physician soon. I have the contract from the hospital in hand. Is it ok to a apply for EAD on J2? What are the chances of EAD getting accepted ?
    Or should I just switch to J-1?
