New EAD Rule: EAD for H4 spouses of approved I140 Holders and H1 extensions
New EAD Rule H4 visa:
Profile: Me: principal spouse - an Indian citizen Physician in serving people in 6th year of H1B, applying for a 3 year H1 extension based on an approved I-140 petition.
Spouse: Indian citizen, Masters in Computer Science degree holder from an accredited University in Database Administrator Job on her own Full time h1 since last 1 year now. She is exploring to have possibility of reduced work hours then completely leave her job after having a baby. We are hoping that Part time work hours/jobs is much easier to obtain for her on EAD then a part time H1 practically through employers.

Whether foreign educated Masters degree holder-Indian H4 spouses of approved I140 holders can get benefit from new EAD rule?
If spouse currently has her own H1b. She may not want to work / better reduce hours - for some time as we are having a baby this June ! Question is how best we can utilize the possibility of EAD for my spouse?
- Does she need to leave her job so as to get on H4 first and then get to EAD via me? Or she can convert to EAD DIrectly now because of my approved I-140 and then work on an EAD with future employers?
Also will it apply only to people who have STEM degrees from USA or it can apply to someone like my spouse who has Masters in Computer Science from an accredited institute in India?
Is there a language which extends this benefit only to countries which extend similar reciprocal benefit to USA citizens in say home country of h4 holder e.g. India in our case?
