  • Reg no progress in processing dates for I485, I765 and I140 at INS Vermont

    Hi
we have filed for permanent residency (receipt dated July 28th 2005) at INS Vermont
We have not yet received our I-765
Its going to be 90 days by the end of October.
The dates posted online are not showing any increment beyond receipts dated June 25th 2005. (for INS Vermont / I-765 based on pending I-485 application)
I would appreciate if you could let me know whether anyone who has submitted their applns to INS vermont with receipts dated later than the June 25th 2005, have received their EADs in the past few weeks/days

Also, under such a scenario, would it be possible to get an interim EAD on the 91st day itself? or would we be told to wait for the same in the mail?

I would greatly appreciate a response!
    Thanks!

If you still do not hear from them after the 90th day, you may either make an Infopass appointment to see an immigration officer in person, or visit your local Application Support Center (ASC) to obtain an interim EAD. Bring all notices with you for either course of action. Also, if you decide to obtain an interim EAD, be sure to fill up another I-765 to hand to the ASC staff. You do not need to pay a second application fee for this.

In many cases, when you visit your local ASC for an interim EAD, they will also arrange for your fingerprints to be taken for the actual EAD card. Be sure to ask them about this if they do not bring it up.

    Good luck.

      Hey thanx
I was a little worried since when I hunted online for people's experiences with interim EAD applications, some seem to have indicated that they were told to wait for a while for the interim EAD too!!!
Now thats a bit of a problem!!!

      Hence I wanted to confirm...
We have already completed our fingerprinting last week....
but still there seems to be absolutely NO PROGRESS at all in terms of processing dates at INS Vermont....
It would be great to know if anyone is in the same boat as us!!
