need information regarding pending asylum and work permit coverage

Hi friends, i filed asylum in May 2013 in ca but till today i have not received any interview notice from asylum office. I have employement authorisation ( EAD) card but i am not sure whether i can work in every states of usa or not. So , i need your answer basically for 2 questions that are listed below.
1) how long do i need to wait to get interview notice from san franciso asylum office?
2) can i go and work in other states without informing new address to uscis!! Some of my driens told me that i can go anywhere in usa for working purpose. Is it true or false , please need detail explanation.

I also got same questions. Cant I work in another state with out changing my mailing address?
