interview for I-131

I would appreciated some input. Is interview for 1-131 normal. My husband had his biometric done but now they are requesting an interview at our local USCI office.

An I-131 is unusual. For which procedure was the I-131 submitted: Advance Parole or Reeentry Permit?

If for reentry permit, an interview might have been requested to ensure that the applicant applied while in the U.S.

parole in place for immediate family

For "Parole in Place," the I-131 seems to be the driving document, and an interview seems normal to satisfy your meeting the Parole in Place requirements.
