Advance parole

I am an L2 dependent visa holder. In June 2014 my spouse applied for adjustment of status, EAD and advance parole for both of us. We got the EAD cum advance parole card in sep 2014. A single card was received and it was mentioned that it serves as EAD and advance parole. The expiry date was Sep 2015. I came to India in Sep 2014 after collecting the card. I am still in India and my spouse is in US.
Our I 485 adjustment of status got approved in dec 2014 and my spouse has received both our cards.
My question is
1) can I stay in India till Aug 2015 (advance parole expires in sep 2015)?
2) will it cause any immigration issues when am traveling back to US in August 2015?

After your Green Card has been issued, you're not supposed to use the Advance Parole. Get your babe to send your Green Card to you by a trusted emissary.

Returning back after green card

After your Green Card has been issued, you're not supposed to use the Advance Parole. Get your babe to send your Green Card to you by a trusted emissary.

hi.. Thanks for your prompt reply. I got the green card issued in December 2014, my spouse is coming to India in mar 2015 for a 10 day vacation. So he will hand over my card to me. Will there any immigration issues at the POE when am traveling back to US in August 2015?

You'll probably be asked why you stayed out of the U.S. so long, so have a good explanation with emphasis on your determination to maintain Green Card status and eventually becoming a U.S. citizen.
