  • I have my AP card and want to travel but afraid

I have a pending I-485. On Feb 27 my AP was approved. I got my combo card in the mail on Marc 9th. I want to travel to visit my grandmother who is dying, which I believe she will pass away before my interview because right now NY is backed up and I don't see me having my interview until sometime in June.
My question is: Do I need to go to the Immigration office to get my passport stamped before I leave the country?
I was told a friend that, I should make an appointment on InfoPass to get this done. I thought having the AP card was enough to travle

An update for anyone who may be reading & want to know............... I actually went to Federal Plaza (for those in NYC you know where this is), the Homeland Security person told me I didn't need to get my passport, having my combo card along with my passport is safe to travel outside the US and back

There is no more stamping on passport required, that was for some people who neede to leave the country urgently without AP
