I have jointly applied for an 1-130 and 1-485 which was received on Nov 7, 2014 and I got my biometric tests done Dec 2, 2014. Nothing has happened on these applications after 6 months and I would like to travel to Canada to visit my parents this summer with my American born daughter. When I went to fill out form 1-131, it asks (part 7) to write on a separate sheet of paper how I qualify for an Advance Parole based on the 1-131 instructions, but it doesn't seem that I qualify since I am not traveling for a family emergency, significant public benefit, humanitarian reasons, or for work. Does this mean I can't leave the USA until I receive notice on my green card applications?
