    Hello,

I recently got married to my girlfriend who is a US Citizen.
I came here on legally but I overstayed.
Because we are married now I would like to start the whole process for a greencard.
However that is alot of money, so I was wondering if i could first apply for the I-765(EAD) so i could work and safe some money for the i130 and i145.
Is this possible even if i overstayed to apply for i765 first?

    Thank you in advance

No, you can not apply for a "standalone EAD". You would only be eligible for an EAD based on a pending application for adjustment of status (I-485).

You can apply for an EAD simultaneously with an adjustment application, ie concurrent filing of I-130 I-485 I-765 and supporting documentation
