  • EAD card went wrong, but now fixed

Married my husband April 16, 2015.

April 28, 2015 Documents received (I-485, I-131, application for EAD and AP)
    July 13, 2015, EAD approved.
-USCIS status update initially said ‘your card is being produced’ but later in the day it changed to ‘case approved’.
-nothing on the Advance Parole other than “case received”, although applications for EAD/AP were submitted together
July 29, 2015, EAD your new card is ordered to be produced
August 3, By now we think something went really wrong. No card in sight. We have been checking the mailbox everyday, in case the USCIS website just didn’t update.
Congresswoman’s office (Nikki Tsongas) is absolutely useless. Say there are delays.
August 7, 2015 Lawyer and applicant go to InfoPass. InfoPass officer (in contrary to the congress woman’s “immigration specialist”) says there is a major problem. Card should have arrived long ago. The agent puts in a request to the service center and says although there is no guarantee, these requests are usually taken seriously
August 10, 2015 USCIS update AP document produced
August 11, 2015 USCIS update card has been mailed
August 13, 2015 card has been delivered. It’s EAD/AP. However, we also received a separate AP document
When the documents arrived they show valid to July 12, 2016, so we lost one month because of the USCIS mess up.

Thanks to all of you for the immihelp posts. Without them we wouldn’t have realized that there was a major delay from case approved to card received.
