Hi,
I have Indian Passport with L2 stamp valid till Jan 2018. However, the passport itself is about to expire in Apr 2016. So, I have sent it for renewal. I should get it by Jan 2016.
AND, my EAD has expiration in Mar 2016, so I have to apply for new one. Since, it takes around 120-90 days for the EAD to come. I am at risk. If I will apply in Jan, it will take Apr and I will have to leave job. The USCIS website for EAD renewal asks for following documents:
a) I-94 (In my case, it is valid till 2018 but has old passport number),
b) Husband Visa Stamping (Valid)
c) Marriage Certificate
d) Old EAD Copy
My question is: my I-94 has old passport number. Can it work for my new EAD application OR should I have to wait for my renewed passport?
