  • Advance Parole rejection

Does anyone know what happens to your Adjustment of Status (I-485) if you travel abroad and use advance parole at the airport when coming back and they don't let you back in?
I'm currently waiting for the interview to be scheduled and my non-immigrant visa expired last month (I applied for adjustment of status back in September though and got my work permit + Advance Parole card in October).

It may depend on your original entry nonimmigrant visa type. If a K1, they'll let you back in. If any other nonimmigrant visa type whose allowable visit time has expired, you can be considered a visa overstay and refused reentry (on a discretionary basis).
