Hi!
I know this is a common question, but there seem to be different rules for all of us, so here goes:
I'm currently on an H1B, applying for AOS through marriage.
My lawyer has told me that I do NOT need to apply for Advance Parole, but that I can travel on my H1B until its expiration (2007).
However, I've read here and other places, that if I accept employment with a company other than my H1B sponsor (via EAD), the H1B will become void. In which case I can't travel on it, but must apply for AP.
Why would my lawyer tell me I don't need it? Anything to do with being Canadian? That would seem stupid, but I've heard stupider. (including the word stupider)
any feedback is most appreciated. thanks!
