EAD card -Timelines

Hello everyone,

My EAD has been approved on 24th July and still I didn't receive the Approval letter and EAD card and showing status as "Case approved" in online.As I have job offer and need to join in another one week,Can anyone help me on the below points-
1.What is the process after EAD case got approved,do I need to go for bio metrics etc?
2.How many did it take for Approval letter and EAD card(when I called customer care,there were telling that it might take another 1 month for Approval notice and 2 months for EAD card?),Is it really the case?
3.Can I work with EAD case approved status or do I need to wait until Approval letter/EAD card?

Please advise or share your experience!!

You have to apply for your SSN after getting EAD

It shouldn't take much more than a week from the actual approval to receiving the card. Your online status will change from "case approved" to "card being produced" to "card being mailed". In case there is a production delay or additional checking is necessary it could take longer, but that's rather unusual. Your employer will most likely ask for the actual card by the time you start the job.

I believe it was somewhere around two to three weeks.
