Hello all,
I am new here. My husband and I (as a dependent) applied for the green card (EB2) on June of 2015. He received his card on April of 2016. I am still waiting for mine. I asked our local congressman's office to check on this on July, 2016 and within few days USCIS asked for some evidences, along with new medical documents (which had expired in a year, of course) which I submitted on July 20th. Still, I haven't heard from them in more than 50 days, I emailed the congressman's office again and they got a response which said " At this time there are no visas available for --- under her current classification and priority date of June 12, 2015. According to the Department of State (DOS) September 2016 Visa Bulletin, visas in this category are available for those having approved petitions with a priority date of February 1, 2014, or earlier. Visa availability cannot be expedited due to numerical limitations set by statute". I have no idea what this means. Now the problem is, my EAD card expired on the 10th of September. I was hoping my card will arrive soon after my husband's arrived, I didn't realize I was getting late to apply for the EAD card renewal. so I finally submitted my application for EAD renewal on July 25th. I called USCIS to expedite my case on September 6th and they did but have got no response so far not even a request for the evidence of financial loss. Starting today, I am on LWoP.
