  • EAD delay

I filed my EAD (I-765) based on marriage to an American national on July 20 in Newark. It's been 75 days and I have not received it. I have a job offer that will be revoked if I don't get it quickly.

I called and submitted a request to USCIS to expedite the process but was unable to provide sufficient details over the phone. I am following up with a letter to the senator stating that I don't have a job and am under financial duress. Also, I have medical conditions that require treatment and investigation and this will cost significant amounts of money. I have evidence of all this. Getting my job will allow me to address the above situations.

Is there anything else I can do to expedite the process?- visit the field office, write to Congressman (he did not respond), Infopass appointment, file a case with the Ombudsman? I would appreciate if anyone is able to provide some advise? I really need the job and need to do everything from my end to expedite the process?

It will be a miracle if you get your I-765 approved within 90 days, as it is taking around 120 days for most applications.

I recommend you go through other peoples I-765 experiences at this link here, there are over 500 pages of posts:

      Hope this helps.....

I have a job offer I need to sign but I am still waiting for EAD

Hi, I am in a similar situation. My case says that "since Nov 9 My card is being produced" .. I have a job offer I need to sign this week and I don't know how to explain them that I am still waiting for this without risking losing the offer.

Has anyone gone through this? How did you ask the company for more time to sign the job offer?

My case for the I-485 still says that they are "ready to schedule an interview" since October 5th.
