I just got my visa and applied for a social security number. I haven't received my number yet and I'd like to know if I can speed up the application of the EAD by sending it without my social security number on it.

Not sure what visa you are talking about and why you are applying for an EAD (and why you are applying for an EAD if you are in a status that allows you to get SSN which usually means you have work authorization). But obviously whether you have an SSN is completely irrelevant for an application for EAD as you can only get an SSN if you are authorized to work, and work authorization is precisely what you are applying for with EAD.

I am the spouse of an E2 holder and my visa is also an E2 visa. I have been told that this visa allows me to work but I need an EAD in order to be authorized, is this not correct?Comment

Okay, yes. No employer will hire you without an EAD. But anyway, an SSN is definitely not needed for the EAD application.
