  • Info pass or wait for the interview? NO EAD YET

    Hey guys,

I'm already over the 75 days since my PD and I did not get my EAD/AP card yet. My interview was schedule for the end of this month. My question is, I want to visit my country and spend my birthday with my parents, which will be on March. Should I schedule an info pass? I don't know if I do it, since my interview is this month and I might get my GC before my travel. But if I don't get it? I want to buy the flight tickets but I'm afraid of buying it and don't get my AP or GC on time.

Also, I read something about a stamp on your passport, do I need to ask for that?

My PD is Nov 22, 2016.
My Bio was Jan 9, 2017
    My interview Feb 28, 2017

    Travel intention Mar 14, 2017

    Thank you!!

Wow yours has been processed quick, which might explain why you don't have EAD/AP yet - you got to the point of interview unusually fast.
My PD is almost the same as yours: 21st Nov, and I did biometrics on 3rd Jan. Unfortunately I had a RFE on my I-485, which has been accepted now, but I guess has slowed me down to getting an Interview.

What service center is processing your application? Do your receipt numbers all begin with "MSC"?

Sorry I can't help with the question about if you should go to InfoPass. My understanding is, it can't hurt. They'd be able to tell you.

      The same time line

I have the same timeline with you, PD 11.30.16, bio 1.9.2017, I also have not received EAD or interview instead I have 2 RFE, but I am still trusting God that all will work out. Don't worry about EAD,/AP it will come soon, I will say hold on until you get your approval before making travel plans.

        Hey,

My service center is National Benefit Center (MSC) and yes, my receipt numbers all begin with MSC. I think what made my process being processed quickly is the fact I did my application really organized with a lot of informations that I spent a month earlier googling it. It was really easy for them to find all the information they need. Also, I'm applying from Cleveland - OH, maybe the waiting time here is not that long.
        Good luck with your process

Thanks for the reply. It helps me trying to guess when they might get around to mine. I figure my RFE episode cost me about 2 weeks. What date did you receive news that they had an interview scheduled?

I hope someone can give you an answer to the question you asked originally about if you should go for an InfoPass appointment or not. If no one more knowledgeable does, my vote is that you should go and at least ask them. Or even ask them by phone? Their phone number is on all the Notice of Action documents you've received.

A little bit over a month from the interview date... I think I got the letter on the 24th.
