      Same situation

      Hi,

We are also in the same situation. We filed on 4th November, 2016 at Missouri (MSC). Then, got biometrics appointment. Then, RFE was asked. We replied with the evidence. And then, the case got transferred to a different office "Vermont" due to work load. Now it says "Name was updated" since March 6th. No update after that. Anybody else in the same situation?

      Thanks!

Today I had a talk with the HR people at my job, who are very interested in me sticking around; so they inquired to USCIS for me (with my explicit permisision, obviously), about the status of my I-765 (which is on day 90 today); they said that they are currently working on applications dated 11/29/2016, and that I really shouldn't expect a decision for another six or seven weeks (my PD is 12/21/2016). This is very much in line with the information posted by another forum member who called USCIS and was told that the 90-day processing time is not being enforced and that the applications are taking 4-5 months sometimes (at least the ones related to Adjustment of Status that have been concurrently filed with I-485 and I-130, which is my case).

Keep your heads up, guys and gals. We'll get through this.

            No biometrics required! EAD renewal

Hello everyone. My EAD renewal, based on my I-485 request, is within the period of 90 days buy my lawyer said that now it could take up to 4 months to get the approval. I have seen that others have received their approval, at least, before the 90 days. The curiosity on mine is that I rececived a letter stating that I do need to appear for biometrics and that they will use the one on file. It is a little weird because as far as I know, the fingerprint is valid for 15 months and the last one I did was 2 years ago. The letter stated that they are continuing forward with my case. Until now I don't have any update, it says "case received". Has this happened to anyone? Here's my timeline:

01/10/17 - UCIS received my application and receipt sent by mail to me.
02/02 - USIC sent me letter for no biometrics needed and continuation of my case.

            Until present nothing.

            Thanks for the help everyone!

              Same situation here

I applied for 485, 765, 130 based on marriage to my wife who is a US citizen
              My PD is Dec 27
I did biometrics on Feb 07
              And no news since then
I'm still waiting for my EAD
The status on my 485 and 765 has not changed since January
The wait is excruciating and frustrating.
Anyone, please let me know if you have similar dates and if there is any update.
              Thanks

If you are renewing your C(9) EAD within the 90-day period (that is, you filed and received a first EAD based on your I-485, which you are now renewing because the I-485 is taking long) then you should be eligible for the 6-month automatic extension that was put forward by USCIS on January 17, 2017. I don't really know if that has anything to do with them not requesting new biometrics but I thought this information could be useful for you.

Thanks telperos. My I-485 is a mission, it's taking forever since I think that they lost my documents. I have renewed my EAD probably like 4 times already.
They only give the EAD for 6 months now? Where did you see this? Is there a link? I filed my petition for renewal before 11/17/2017, so do I fall on the 6 months?
It's not 1 year anymore? I think my case will be a little different since my case has been going on since 2012!!

                  Thanks for your help!!

                    Same boat here

My case was received for I-765 and I-485 on 12/19/2016 which is also my PD.
                    Fingerprint : 01/19/2017
Till date it's still your case was received. I raised a service request 03/06/2017 which was exactly 75th day and the was not assigned to any officer till 03/20/2017 and nothing came out of it except "your enquiry was assigned to an officer and your enquiry was completed"
I called USCIS customer care on phone same 03/20/2017 maybe I could get a clearer information and we ended up raising another service request which till this moment has only being assigned to an officer.
I hope we all get a favorable headway soon.

Geeze, I hate to say this, but I feel a bit relieved when I found out so many people are on the same boat with me.

My PD is 12/12/2016, and nothing happened since I did my bio in January.

I raised two SR, but the reply were really just saying my case has been assigned to an officer. I went to an infopass appointment, but the local office couldn't do anything about that since it's handled by NBC. The only thing they helped with is to confirm that the reason my case is processed so slow has nothing to do with my fingerprint.

I called the customer service multiple times, and apparently they couldn't do anything about it except let you wait.

And yes, according to them, they abandoned the 90 days rule, so now they really don't have a specific time that you could expect.

I have been frustrated about the EAD thing for a long while, and I felt my life is so screwed because it pretty much messed up my entire plan for this year.

But now I just suddenly feel calmed down. If I know that it will take up to 6 months, what's the point to be frustrated for the last three months when I couldn't do anything about it.

same here been waiting for about six months since first ead application based on c8 asylum pending, did biometrics, got request for initial evidence, they denied it, and to top it off mail has not come yet to me as why this has happened, sad.

Did you get your EAD card yet? My PD is 12/14/2016 and I still have not heard for the EAD.
