Hey guys, i received advance parole document friday 4/7 booked my flight that night
Got to Mexico City around 720 am. And returned today to LAX at 9:05 am. Very very nerve wrecking for sure, specially in my case, my case is tougher because i have visible tattoos on my hands and fingers. Ive read some stories here that everything runs smoothly but i was expecting to get judged by CBP upon arrival because of my tattoos since they are visible. But the stories here didnt lie!!! I got to cbp inspection and the officer just asked me what was the paper i was handing him, i answered "i got advance parole through DACA, then he asked if i brought food back, i answered just a bag of chips, he answered thata fine. But then he hit me with the news, "youre gonna have to go to secondary inspection in that room". To me that was a bombshell since i knew i was gonna get interviewd even more up close and persobal, and with my tattoos visible and all i thought i was screwed. But thank god nothing and i mean nothing was asked inside the secondary. He called me up gave me my passport and told me to sign out, no fingerprints,no photo, no interview!!!! Back in 2005 i also got arrested fordriving without a license. So if you guys are waiting on your ap document and you have no criminal record, you have nothing to worry about!!! Trust me, me and my visible tattoos on hands and fingers. Go and enjoy yourselves and have fun!!!

People entering on any kind of Advance Parole almost always have to go through secondary. It's expected.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
