  • How long after biometrics?

    Hi, everyone.

My husband is currently adjusting his status from K1 to green card. Our applications for I-131, I-485 and I-765 were submitted on April 24, and we received notification for a processing date of May 10, 2017.

He completed his biometrics on June 14, 2017. I'm wondering how soon we should be receiving the I-131 and I-765. We're assigned to the National Benefits Center, which is behind schedule on processing, but I figured that because he's already done his biometrics, we should be receiving at least those two documents soon.

I am most concerned because we have international travel plans beginning August 22. In your experiences, how long after the biometrics did you or your applicant receive his/her advance parole?

It is very slow these days...

My priority date is 3/10 and I am still waiting for my EAD. It is day 118 for me right now.

      Hi yellowings,

Same here, PD is 03/28 and still waiting for my EAD. 100 days today. I raised an SR through online and said that I have to expect a reply by July 17, 2017. Did you raise an SR already?

      Thanks.

Hey thanks for response. Yes I did, like 3 times. First one was online when it got to day 95 ish, and I got "your case is under review" response. Second one was phone call at day 100ish, they said they will call me later after figuring out and they never called me back. Third one was yesterday through online again and nothing yet. I booked infopass at 17th (which was the earliest one near my location, all days were booked already.) I think I did all things that I can do so far. It is just so frustrating. I'm also thinking contacting local congressman as well...

          Hi yellowings---
Aside from submitting an online SR yesterday July 5th, I did called them up today July 6th, and explained that my case has been 100 days in todays date. Still no new updates.
CSR told me that it will take 15-30 days to reply with my/our SR this time, unless I get lucky that I receive a reply earlier than I expect.
I don't know... I just get stress out with the whole process.
Hope we received a good news.

Yeah, me too. My current EAD (based on F-1 OPT student one) will be expired within 3 weeks now. Feel like my soul is slowly dying inside... haha. Good luck for all of us. Stay strong!

              Hi Yellowings,
I don't know what to say anymore. You're correct, just being patient and strong is the only key! Everyday I am always checking my case, nothing... waiting for the miracle! Hope we receive good news very soon!...

                Hi Yellowings,

Regarding the Infopass, I did made an appointment in March and I complained to the IO how difficult to find the spot for making an appointment. Then she told me actually they do take walk-in, it is 30 minutes prior to the first appointment time. But you had better arrive there one hour prior to the first appointment time because people arrive early to line up for walk-in. Just for your information, I have never tried, don't guarantee it will work.

                  Hi,
To be honest there is no set time frame, but usually around 2months after. There are however persons waiting longer than that. I have hope you will get it for your travel, but maybe you would want to buy a refundable ticket just in case things don't work out. That's my opinion, as I didn't apply for advance parole I 131, I made the decision to be with my husband so am just going to wait until I receive green card before travelling internationally, miss my sisters a lot though.
I wish you all the best and will be praying your husband gets his travel documents in time for your travel.
                  Goose fortune to us ..........
                  ._.
