Hi all,
Did any of you run into the following issue, and if ever, how did you resolve it?
So I finally received a response to my SR in the mail today re my pending EAD. It says the case is still w/in the 90 day time frame because they received my response to their RFE (for I-485) on 6/21/2017. However, I received said RFE in early May and case history confirms that USCIS received my response on 5/19/2017 (NOT 6/21/2017). Then, as of June 21, 2017, they are ready to schedule my interview.
So why did the clock reset to 6/21/2017 instead of 5/19/2017, the actual receipt day for the RFE response? Is this a typo?
I'm concerned because my current EAD expires in mid August and I'm not qualified for the 180 extension as I'm adjusting from F-1 OPT to I-485 based. Can I expedite my application based on an emergency, i.e., that my current EAD is expiring, or should I contact my local Congressman and/or Ombudsman etc.?
Thanks in advance for shedding any light on this!
