Traveling with combo card/EAD

HI all!
I just resive my combo card last week and my case is ready to be shecdule to interview ( form I-485, arrived in US a k1 visa holder). I have a wedding in october back in Mexico. is safe to use the EAD? even if I dont have a emergency like a family member dying or being sick? thanks so much for the answers, I have read so much about better no used that I want to know if someone has used it recently and your expirience at the POE.

You do not need an emergency to be able to use the combo card. The whole purpose of the comb card is to be able to travel internationally.
