Hi friends,
I have been following this forum closely over the last a few months and would like to sincerely thank you for all the help.
I recently applied through an attorney. Here is the timeline
I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131 (Based on a USC spouse)
Documents mailed - July 14, 2017
Priority Date - July 18, 2017
Expedite EAD request by the local congresswoman - August 1, 2017
Biometric appointment letter received - August 4, 2017
Biometric appointment completed through walk-in - August 4, 2017
I expedited the EAD through my congresswoman on the basis of financial difficulty. I have a excellent job offer in my field and I have had recent medical history which caused financial stress as well + student loans. Evidence for all this was already provided in the packet that was forwarded by the congresswoman.
I read on the forum somewhere that expediting EAD before biometric is pointless. However, the gap between the two is 3 days.
Does anyone have an idea of what I should expect from here on out as far as my EAD card processing goes? Should I raise a service request for them to see that my biometric is done. I would like to start my job as soon as possible even though my current start date is 09/11/2017.
Best,
