Switching from H1B to new employer on EAD

Hi

I'm planning on switching from my old H1B employer to a new employer using my EAD. I entered the US the last time using my H1B visa. Do I have to exit and re-enter the country using my Advance Parole in order to use my EAD? Doesn't seem to make sense to me...

Any feedback would be much appreciated!

Nope no need. You can switch over to EAD without leaving the country. Just use the EAD to fill in the I9 details for your employer.

Yes, switched from H1 to EAD for a brief while, with the same employer.
