Biometric requirements for i765 A18 category

Hi, do EAD applicants applying under L2 visa eligibility category that is A18 on form I765 need to submit biometric details? We haven't received any notice asking to provide biometrics and it has been over 45 days since we applied. Also would the online status tracker update say anything about biometric details? It is just stuck on "application received".
